The Global Mental Health Taskforce was conceived and founded through a collaboration of experts and leaders in the field, including the Chopra Foundation, Clinicom, TheCityKidsFoundation, NeverAlone initiative, the UN Global Partnerships Forum, the Creative Intelligence Agency, and more, all focused on increasing access to mental health resources in support of the United Nations SDG3.

In November 2023, we held a launch luncheon at the United Nations Delegates’ Dining Room with notable leaders, including keynote speaker Dr. Deepak Chopra. The event was a great success, marking the start of our work on the Taskforce.

Why mental health matters globally?

50%

1 in 4 people globally live with a mental disorder, yet 50% do not receive adequate care.

2%

Less than 2% of national health budgets, on average, is allocated to mental health globally.
